still in north dakota... it's getting hot!
the rain has stopped.. haven't seen hide nor hair of it in a couple weeks.. i miss it!
soon a big storm is brewing .. i hope at least..

i have to remind myself how little i work and how much i am paid and of all the good things, as the summer drags on and i head to work EVERY night... i have to dig for the happiness....

and it's there,

i should be blogging more often, of all the little things, and trips and excursions... i want to do more of it especially as my fall tour starts....

so what happened today.... i slept in.. i was a bum.. we were supposed to go to the northern unit of the theodore roosevelt national park but i wanted to be a bum... and it was hot.. so stayed in our trailer... helped the fiddler get his stuff together for cirque... and watched a bad horror movie, and ate at the chuck wagon. yes it's as bad as it sounds! but free!
cirque called a couple weeks back.. got me all excited about a gig in tokyo and now i haven't heard anything from them.. oh well...
i want to get the fiddler in gear .. he deserves cirque.... and with some work it is attainable for both of us... the trick is getting on the same show!.. ha!

Hey there. I just added you as a friend. You sound like a fellow nomad, and I love reading about how other individuals approach this lifestyle. I am about to head back out on ship, and have been local crew for some Disney On Ice shows when they travel locally, so I may have worked with you in the past if you ever did Princesses or Nemo in Florida. We just got done with Cirque's Saltimbanco in Tampa, Lakeland and Ft Myers FL. I'll continue to do freelance local work when I'm on leave, so I hope to see you around!

hey
nice to meet you
i just read your post about going to turkey... good luck! i've spent lots of time in europe thanks to cruising... and it was awesome!!! makes up for all those crappy ports in the carribbean and mexico!

i stopped cruising about 1.5 years ago and now do sound on land.... small tours like church basement ladies and gilligan's island the musical.. right now i am in north dakota in the badlands doing the greatest show in the west!!!
i love theater and i love traveling and i've been able to do both for the last 10 years!
cruising can be tiring at times and has a lot of negatives but it also , especially for a stage tech, have some GREAT positives!!!
take advantage of everything you can over there..

i reccoment the shore excursions that passengers pay for that we can go on for free!!!!
enjoy!
and keep in touch!
ps are you on facebook?
